Dunwoody listeners of one of Atlanta’s most popular radio stations, Star 94.1, may be tuning in to listen to one of their newest neighbors.

P.J. “Drex” Rener, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is one of the main personalities entertaining listeners on the Drex, Cassiday and Tingle show which airs from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays and although the show is fairly new, having started about 15 months ago, Drex is no stranger to the airwaves.

“I started disc jockeying as a teenager in Detroit and was offered an internship working on a morning radio station when I was a senior in high school,” he said. After graduating in 2001, Drex moved from the Michigan and Iowa areas down to Florida – where he met his wife, April, a Georgia native—to Tennessee and North Carolina before landing his current gig in Atlanta. When considering the move for his job, Drex said he and his wife knew immediately that they wanted to move to Dunwoody.
