I believe many of you are aware of the Community Action Center which serves the Dunwoody and Sandy Springs community. They provide many great services which you can read about on their website @ www.ourcac.org. One of their services it to provide school supplies to children in need. I know we are all preparing for the upcoming school year and I would like to request that everyone get just ONE extra supply to donate to those in need. An extra backpack, pack of paper, etc. A full list is available at the CAC website but you can expect the supplies to be same as you are purchasing for your own children.
I will have a tub out next to my garage for you to drop off your supplies. For smaller items feel free to leave them in my mailbox.
I will be delivering the donations to the CAC on Friday August 5th around lunch time.
I believe if every AHA subscriber could donate just ONE item we will be able to assist numerous less fortunate children be prepared for the new school year.
