ATLANTA — Bert’s Big Adventure, a nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families, is excited to share a BIG announcement! After careful consideration and sorting through hundreds of applications, the Bert’s Big Adventure selection committee has chosen fourteen (14) children and their families to travel to Walt Disney World® in February 2016. The 2016 Bert’s Big Adventure recipients include: Leslie B. from Jasper, GA (7 years old) Ashlynn G. from Lagrange, GA (5 years old) Seth B. from Charleston, SC (8 years old) Kylin G. from Atlanta, GA (5 years old) James C. from Dawsonville, GA (5 years old) Raynel G. from Powder Springs, GA (11 years old) William D. from Acworth, GA (8 years old) Nicholas H. from Rome, GA (10 years old) Marley E. from Atlanta, GA (11 years old) Autumn M. from Atlanta, GA (12 years old) Tosh E. from Atlanta, GA (9 years old) Hunter S. from Rising Sun, IN (5 years old) Christopher F. from Murfreesboro, TN (10 years old) Kyle S. from Duluth, GA (11 years old) “We are so thrilled to have chosen 14 wonderful children and their families to join us for this trip,” says Founder and ‘The Bert Show’ host Bert Weiss. “The trip will be an adventure they will never forget and we feel so honored to be sharing this amazing experience with them and providing the opportunity to be making their days a little brighter.” To qualify for Bert’s Big Adventure, a child must be between the ages of 5-12 years old and live in “The Bert Show” radio listening area, prove financial need and have never been to Walt Disney World®.
