Private school scholarship tax credits gone in one day

For the second year in a row, Georgia’s $58 million annual cap on tax credits for private school scholarships is accounted for after just one day.

The state Department of Revenue (DOR) announced Monday that Georgia taxpayers planning contributions to student scholarship organizations already have submitted applications for $108.7 million in income tax credits, exceeding the 2016 cap by $50.7 million.  Read more at The Atlanta Business Chronicle
