Update: One of the families displaced by the fire is a Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcat Basketball player. The team has set up a specific GOFUNDME for this family who has lost all of their belongings. Click here to donate specifically to the Blaise family.
Also, two families have children who attend Chesnut Elementary. If you are able, Please donate online to help get these families through Christmas and the New Year
Last night my 8th grader told me that the apartment building of one of his friends from Peachtree Middle School’s was on fire. She’s okay and her apartment didn’t burn but unfortunately 10 others lost their homes according to the news. It sounds like nobody was injured but there are many families with children in that complex which is located across N. Peachtree from the side entrance to First Baptist Church Atlanta.
You may know someone and want to help….Dunwoody police said on their Facebook page if you would like to make a donation to help the displaced families, you may contact I Care Atlanta at 678-615-3341.
