The Dunwoody Homeowners Association during a closed meeting Oct. 18 voted to accept a compromise concerning Light Up Dunwoody, which is scheduled for Nov. 22.
Recent controversy surrounding a possible addition of a six-foot menorah to the property at the Cheek-Spruill Farmhouse caused the Dunwoody Preservation Trust to disallow any potentially religious symbol. Co-presidents of the trust said the mission to include all meant restricting all non-secular objects on the property.
“Because some holiday symbols are open for individual interpretation, we respectfully request that DHA move the tree to another location,” Dunwoody Preservation Trust said in a public statement. continue reading at Reporter Newspapers
