Investigators’ report finds ‘appalling corruption’ in DeKalb, calls on CEO to resign

Investigators hired by DeKalb County say in a new report released today that they found “appalling corruption and a stunning absence of leadership” in the county’s government that is “a disgrace to its citizens and an embarrassment to our state.”

The report by Michael J. Bowers and Richard L. Hyde, who were hired by interim DeKalb CEO Lee May, goes on to say that “a pattern of corrosive and widespread misconduct has destroyed public confidence in the integrity of the governing authority.”  Continue Reading at The Atlanta Business Chronicle
