Work to begin on Murphey Candler bridges The Parks & Recreation department will begin maintenance on the two bridges at Murphey Candler Park on Thursday, Sept. 10. The bridges will be worked on during normal business hours and should not have any affect for park visitors after hours. The work will include replacing all decking and handrails on both bridges. |

Taking place Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8 a.m., the Brookhaven Police Hot-Pursuit 5K & Tot-Trot is an annual fundraiser hosted by the Brookhaven Police Department Support Services Division. Brookhaven 101, Builder & Developer Summit to focus on tree ordinance Brookhaven residents as well as builders and developers will have a chance to learn more about the city’s recent changes to its tree ordinance at two events hosted by the Community Development Department. The Brookhaven 101 session will take place Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., and is suited for residents, while the Builders & Developers Summit will take place that morning from 9 to 11. |
