May marks the end of school and the beginning of swim & tennis season, camps, neighborhood festivals, and vacation trips. In Dunwoody, it also marks the beginning of repaving. Full or partial segments of the following 46 roads will be repaved:

As part of the water main pipe replacement, Mt. Vernon Road will be repaved from Ashford-Dunwoody Road to Vernon Oaks Drive, as well as have a sidewalk added on its south side.
These two roads will be crack sealed:
Perimeter Center West
Peeler Road
Repaving is one of my top priorities and this year’s budget has a record amount allocated to repaving and other capital projects involving paving. This year’s budget also has the largest allocation to neighborhood streets repaving.
Council will examine our year-to-date budget status at the end of June. If an annual operating surplus appears likely, I will support an initiative to add additional streets to this year’s repaving list, as our long-term reserve fund is adequately funded.
