Heritage Sandy Springs announces the 19th Season of the Concerts by the Springs series today. Held one Sunday evening each month, May through September, the outdoor concert series is free and open to the public and has become a celebrated community tradition each summer. Concerts are held from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and are located at Heritage Green on The Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn, 6110 Bluestone Road, Sandy Springs, Georgia. Celebrating its nineteenth year, the 2015 Concerts by the Springs season features five unforgettable performances, offering something for all ages and audiences.

June 14, 2015: Drive Time Band (Top 40)
July 12, 2015: The Tams (Beach Music Legends)
August 2, 2015: The Return (Beatles Tribute)
September 6, 2015: Banks and Shane (Hometown Favorite)
“Annually, Heritage Sandy Springs welcomes approximately 9,000 Sandy Springs residents and visitors to our very popular Concerts by the Springs series”, said Rebekah Henry Murphy, Special Events Director at Heritage Sandy Springs. “We are excited to present this diverse line-up and look forward to welcoming the entire community to these highly-anticipated free summer concerts”, Murphy continued.
Douglas Cameron Orchestra will open the 2015 season on Mother’s Day. This 18-piece big band orchestra is led by Douglas Cameron, LA Music Award’s Male Vocalist of the Year and National Crooner of the Year. His smooth, seductive vocals electrify the soul by evoking the spirit of such talents as Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. A talented and consummate performer, Douglas has been thrilling audiences for over 25 years with his incredible vocals and versatility.
June will welcome Atlanta-based show band Drive Time Band . A 10-piece show band, Drive Time, is comprised of a 5 piece rhythm section, 5 voice ensemble of tight harmony and seasoned with a powerful horn section. Playing favorite pop hits and ballads, this band is sure to delight audiences of all generations.
In July, the summer heat welcomes beach music legends The Tams. The Tams have been entertaining and thrilling audiences for over 40 years. Known for such hits as “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy”, “What Kind of Fool”, and “I’ve Been Hurt”, The Tams have had 2 Gold Records, and 1 Platinum Single.
August will bring Atlanta-based The Return back to Heritage Green. This Beatles tribute band is known for their musicianship, energetic live performances, and uncanny resemblance to the original greats.
The 2015 Concerts by the Springs series will close out on September 6 with crowd favorite, Banks and Shane. Banks and Shane is a high-energy, hard-kicking band that has audiences around the world dancing in the aisles to popular favorites and reminiscing with memorable ballads.
Concert goers are encouraged to arrive early and picnic with family and friends. Gates open at 5 p.m. Blankets and coolers are welcomed; no outside tables permitted. Pets and smoking are not allowed.
