My Dad is an avid golfer. If he could find a friend to play with every day I think he would do just that….play every day! So when he came to visit for the holidays I surprised him, my mom, my sons, and my husband with a trip to Top Golf Alpharetta. Oh, what fun!
Mom and I thought we’d just watch but we were strongly encouraged to try even though neither of us has ever picked up a golf club other than a putter to play putt putt a time or two! We are both so glad we played! Some people bring their own clubs but it is certainly not necessary or even practical because they have ladies and men’s Callaway clubs in every bay. I’m a lefty so they gave me my very own set of lefty ladies clubs to play with!
We took turns hitting golf balls and aiming for the targets off our third floor bay while a very friendly waiter made sure we had plenty of food and drinks to occupy us between turns. It was a cold and frosty day but the heat lamps were beaming down on the private couches in our bay and keeping us toasty warm while eating lunch and taking turns hitting.
Basically, you pay $5 per person for a membership card that you keep forever and don’t have to pay for again. Then you pay $35/hour total for up to 6 people to play in a bay. We thought the prices were very reasonable, the food was good, and the golf game was such fun! Daddy won….not a big surprise. We’ll be back again for sure!
It’s not far from Dunwoody. Basically you take 400 to Mansell Road then turn left, go about a mile and turn right and it’s on the right.

I also highly recommend TG as a family outing. Our family (2 grandparents, my husband, myself and 2 kids – ages 13 & 10) had a great time last week! Looking forward to a couples’ night out now! I understand evenings can be busy but they offer an option to reserve your bay in advance for a fee.
