| I read this series more than 3 years ago and remember being so hooked that I read books 2 and 3 in one rainy weekend. My family saw the movie on Friday and really enjoyed it. My boys and I have read the books and spent the car ride to the theater refreshing our memories about the storyline. My husband hasn’t read the books so was very thankful for the quick refresher. All four of us really liked the movie but were not surprised to be frustrated at the sudden ending. I’d been wondering how they were going to split the final book in the series to make two movies. I was pleasantly surprised and thought they did a really good job with the cliffhanger ending. Now I am now very anxious to see the final movie and have to wait until November 20, 2015! Since I’m such a book-a-holic I’m usually disappointed in movie adaptations but in the case of this series, I really think they have done a wonderful job with the movies. I still recommended reading the books first though! |
