The Dunwoody Diablos 14U Gold baseball team won the 14U championship in the “12th Annual Boo Ball Tournament” held October 25th & 26th by Grand Slam Sports and Turn 2 Tournaments. The Diablos swept the Flowery Branch tournament 5-0, winning 4 games by run rule and outscoring their opponents a collective 67-18. Starting pitcher, Ben Tyrrel, went the distance in the Sunday championship game, holding the opposing team to just 2 runs and contributing a late-inning 3 RBI triple to the team’s 10-2 win. The Diablos’ tournament play was marked by solid pitching, defense and hitting throughout the team.
