Gideon: Your Weakness, God’s Strength
by Priscilla Shirer
We have heard it said,”God does not call the equipped but equips the called.” Such was the case with Gideon who said, “But Lord, how can I save Israel?” My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”(Jdg 6:15). God equipped Gideon to overcome his fears and weaknesses and enabled him to emerge as Israel’s hero. In this 7 week Bible study on the life of Gideon, you will be encouraged to recognize your own fears and weaknesses. Through the study you will see how weaknesses create the greatest opportunity to experience the sufficiency of God’s strength in your life. Join us on Wednesday nights October 15 – December 3 skipping Thanksgiving week from 7-9 pm in room 258/259 at Dunwoody Methodist Church. This is a DVD and homework discussion-driven class. The cost of the workbook is $14. For additional information and FREE childcare reservations, please contact Sally Abele at sallyabele@msn.com.
