DES 2nd grade students planted sweet potatoes last spring in their organic gardens. Students were a part of the planting process through the harvesting of the sweet potatoes. Over a 1,000 sweet potatoes were harvested this past week. Parent volunteers made some yummy recipes to share with each classroom, for a well deserved treat!
