DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K)

DivorceCare and DC4K – Dunwoody United Methodist Church holds these 2 groups for families of divorce.
DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people with whom you will learn and discuss important information on relevant topics (depression, loneliness, faith, single sexuality, finances and others) through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone. Or tell a friend who may need this support. Although we skip Thanksgiving week, before the holiday season we will do a special adult component, SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS. DivorceCare runs concurrently with DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K). They both begin September 3 and conclude December 10. Classes meet 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.: Adults – Parlor; Kids – Room 140. Designed to be joined whenever you find the group. Nursery is available is available at no cost for children younger than 5 with registration.

DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) is a comprehensive 14-week program that introduces children to the grieving process brought on by divorce and gives them the tools necessary to develop healthier relationships within their own families. It provides children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn how to share their feelings. If you know someone going through a divorce, make sure he or she knows about these groups; it might just be the best thing you could do to help.
