The 13U DSB Maroon Diablos finished their 2014 baseball season at the Grand Slam World Series of Baseball in Panama City Beach by finishing 2nd in the World Series Championship series. They had a record of 7-2 against an extremely talented pool of teams. The Devil Rays from PLAQUEMQUEMINE, LA beat the Diablos in the Championship game 13-5. The Maroon Diablos “just ran out of gas”! What a fantastic tournament they had. The Maroon Diablos were put into the “Loser’s Bracket” by the Devil Rays on a walk off passed ball — 8-7 win over the Diablos on Friday. The Devil Rays had given up 2 runs all tournament until they played the DSB Diablos.
