7th Annual Taste of Chamblee Returns October 4, 2014
A Community Food and Music Festival
(ATLANTA)- The 7th annual Taste of Chamblee food and music festival will return on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 12:00pm to 7:00pm in downtown Chamblee (Peachtree Rd. and Broad St.), for a festival of the senses. The event will highlight the diversity of Chamblee’s growing community with local fare and entertainment. Event entry is FREE. Tickets for food and beverage will be sold for $1 each, with samples ranging from 1-4 tickets.
Hosting the festival for the first time is the newly minted Chamblee Chamber of Commerce, with proceeds benefiting the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, a Chamblee-based nonprofit that serves uninsured Georgians across the state by providing access to the vision and hearing care needed for individuals to live healthy and productive lives.
The festival will highlight the diversity of Chamblee’s local attractions: Favorite local restaurants will serve their most popular dishes at booths throughout the festival and local musical acts will perform all day on the main stage next to a Beer Garden featuring a craft selection from Red Hare Brewery. Other festivities will include an Art Walk featuring local artists, a bounce-house, interactive games, and face painting. An antique car show will display classic and modified cars for a cruise-in at 2:00p.m.
