Kids can experience all the excitement of the AJC Peachtree Road Race when they lace up their running shoes for the Peachtree Jr. 3K. This family-friendly event allows your kids to experience the fun of Peachtree in a safe and non-competitive environment! The 3K event is open to ages 7-12, while the Lil’ Peach 50m Dash is open to ages 6 & younger. Participants also get the opportunity to take part in the Peachtree Jr. Challenge which awards scholarships to the top three organizations that sign up the most kids! See details below.

Race Day Information
Schedule of Events:
6:30 am Race number pick-up opens
8:15 am Lil’ Peach Dash begins, participants will start in age groups, youngest to oldest
9:00 am Peachtree Jr. 3K begins; participants will start in age groups, oldest to youngest.
Safety: For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets or wheeled conveyances of any kind including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles are permitted on the course.
Please be sure to complete the emergency contact info on the back of your child’s number, using YOUR cell phone number. Please do NOT use a home phone as a contact number.
Course: For the 3K event, the course is limited to race participants only; parents are not permitted to run with their children. The Lil’ Peach Dash is also limited to race participants only.
Participant Benefits: All finishers receive a commemorative Peachtree Jr. T-shirt.
Awards: All Peachtree Jr finishers receive a pennant and Lil’ Peach finishers receive a ribbon.
Peachtree Jr. Challenge: On behalf of Atlanta Track Club’s Kilometer Kids program and the Sports Authority, three group scholarships will be awarded at the 27th Annual Peachtree Jr!
How To Win- It’s easy! The top three organizations (school, youth running group/club, etc.) that sign-up the most kids for the PEACHTREE Jr. and Lil’ Peach Dash by registering online as part of your organization will win a scholarship for their program. Remember: ALL participants must be pre-registered and include the organization name to be eligible. If you forgot to include your organization name during registration, please contact registration@atlantatrackclub.org to have it added.
Scholarship Amounts:
- 1st Place – $1,500 Scholarship ($1,250 cash donation from Atlanta Track Club and $250 Sports Authority store credit designated for school physical activity supplies)
- 2nd Place – $750 Scholarship to each runner up ($500 cash donation from Atlanta Track Club and $250 Sports Authority store credit designated for school physical activity supplies)
- 3rd Place – $750 Scholarship to each runner up ($500 cash donation from Atlanta Track Club and $250 Sports Authority store credit designated for school physical activity supplies)
Parking: Limited parking is available in the Sage parking deck (standard rates apply) and residential neighborhoods along 12th and 14th Sts. and Park Drive. Please be courteous when parking and traveling through the neighborhoods. Parking on 10th St. is not recommended.; carpooling is encouraged.
T-Shirt Design Contest: Just like the AJC Peachtree Road Race, the Peachtree Jr. hosts a contest for the 2014 T-shirt design. All shirt design entries must be received by Friday, April 4. The winning artist will be invited to be on hand at the Peachtree Jr. to autograph his/her design for the runners who earn the shirt. The winner will also receive extra copies of their winning shirt.
