Participating for a cause that means so much more than just a fancy dress or shiny shoes, hundreds are expected to enjoy an elegant evening at the 2nd Annual Southern Pieces Gala on April 5th 2014 at Marietta Country Club sponsored by GlassRatner Capital Advisory Group. The gala will benefit Autism Speaks, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
The Southern Pieces Gala will feature local stars, a bourbon bar, and elegant southern fare. HGTV’s Chip Wade will be the emcee for the evening while guests are treated to the soulful tunes of 85-South, an Atlanta-based blues and soul band. As guests party the night away, there will be a silent auction featuring items from local and national companies such as The DryBar, Tieks, The Atlanta Braves, and Local Three.
The capstone of the evening will be the live auction of a painting donated by acclaimed artist Michael Tolleson. Mr. Tolleson is an artist living with autism, an artistic savant, who paints large and complex pieces in very small amounts of time. Mr. Tolleson will be painting the piece for auction during the main event for gala goers to observe.
Presale tickets are available online with proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks at www.eventbrite.com -> “Southern Pieces Gala Benefiting Autism Speaks”. Preregistration is recommended but onsite registration will be available. Gala beings at 7 p.m. for general admission but VIP Tickets are available featuring a pre-party and Bourbon Bar.
