10 Things I learned on the 6th grade confirmation retreat
The girl bus smells better than the boy bus.
It only takes 15 minutes of free time for certain boys to try to determine what happens when you put a handwarmer in the microwave.
It is extremely difficult for 6th graders to sit still for more than an hour at a time. Kids want to be OUTSIDE during free time….running…playing…and wearing shorts in the sunshine!
Some kids will do anything to make other kids laugh….no matter what the consequences.
6th grade boys can be so sweet that they literally bring me to tears.
Middle school kids are hungry and thirsty ALL THE TIME…no matter how often you feed them.
I still love meeting new people of all ages. I made some new adult friends that I can hardly wait to hang out with again! Plus I got to be roomies with one of my oldest friends and that was a real treat!
Kids not only love to eat…but they also love to sing and dance!
The DUMC kids want to learn, answer questions, share their knowledge….especially about the topic of Jesus.
Vespers at the giant lighted cross is a beautiful and holy experience that I will cherish forever.
