Buckhead’s Sister Properties Announce New Fashion and Dining Options

ATLANTA (February 25, 2014)Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, two iconic shopping destinations located in the heart of Buckhead and owned by Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), a leading global retail real estate company, are pleased to announce several additions to their retail rosters. 

The well-known retail and culinary additions, including three first-to-market names, will appeal to Atlanta shoppers looking for more choices: Lenox Square will soon introduce Topshop and Topman, 7 For All Mankind, Athleta and Bachrach, as well as dining options Chipolte, Freshii and an updated Prime, Häagen-Dazs and Great Wraps. Phipps Plaza will welcome newcomers Johnny Was and Peek…, as well as a relocated Kate Spade.

Topshop and Topman, two leading British fashion brands, will expand their mark in the US with a 15,500 square foot store at Lenox Square. Slated to open in the spring of 2015, Topshop will offer style authority to women through its clothing, shoes, make-up and accessories, while Topman will provide clothing catering exclusively to men. With 499 Topshop stores and 154 Topman stores worldwide, both brands have become fashion success stories.

The first company to bring premium denim to scale, 7 For All Mankind will open a 1,156 square foot store in late February 2014. Since 2000, the brand has become a household name, as well as a favorite among Hollywood elite, fashion editors and stylists. The company continues to be a force in the industry with extensions into sportswear, men, children, footwear and accessories. 7 For All Mankind is an international brand with over 100 retail locations in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The new Lenox Square store will be located on the main level next to Ann Taylor.

Athleta is the premier fitness fashion brand for women who see being healthy and fit as vital to life. From studio sports and outdoor sports to outerwear and innerwear, Athleta offers incredibly-flattering, versatile pieces for the entire day. Blending performance innovation with chic urban style, Athleta will open a 4,639 square foot store on the upper level across from Macy’s in May 2014.

Opening near Macy’s on the upper level, the 2,641 square foot Bachrach store will bring men fashionable collections with a historic reputation. From its beginning in 1877, the Bachrach name continues to coincide with handsome, innovative styles.

With elevated ceilings, bright lighting, new furniture and plug-in stations at each table, Lenox Square’s Fashion Café will welcome Chipolte’s“fast-casual” experience. The company offers a focused menu of burritos, tacos, burrito bowls (a burrito without the tortilla) and salads made from fresh, raw ingredients, prepared using classic cooking methods. Offering a menu of salads, burritos, wraps, rice bowls, yogurts, breakfast and soups made with high-quality, fresh ingredients, Freshii will provide fresh and nutritious meal choices for individuals on the go. Shoppers will also find an updated Great Wraps in a new space, which will continue to offer sandwich combinations that are hot, fresh and appetizing, as well as a remodeled Häagen-Dazs that will keep bringing new frozen dessert experiences to shoppers.

Lenox Square’s Fashion Café is a major element of the property’s multi-phase renovation project that will soon feature an outdoor garden patio. Additional updates to the property include a redesigned porte-cochere, enhanced valet amenities and a redesign of Lenox Square’s main entrance to include an iconic two-story glass storefront housing True Food Kitchen, Zinburger Wine and Burger Bar, The Cheesecake Factory and Prime, which recently completed an interior renovation with new lighting fixtures and furniture.

Just across the street, Phipps Plaza is proud to welcome first-to-market brands Johnny Was and Peek. Embraced by the modern gypsy, Johnny Was is a beautiful, feminine, contemporary wardrobe for the modern woman. The L.A.-based brand offers women vintage-inspired pieces in easy-to-care-for fabrics that are luxurious to the touch. Scheduled to open in spring 2014 on the main level near Monarch Court and Starbucks, the new store will house 1,981 square feet of ultimate creations for urban bohemians.

Opening in April 2014 in a 1,622 square foot store, Peekfocuses on offering high-quality children’s apparel and a shopping experience that allows all ages to connect with the joy of childhood. The clothing shows the same consideration and quality that adults demand in their own wardrobe, with thoughtful details, luxurious materials, and interesting finishing work that elevates it to something kids can love. Its first Georgia location will be located on the main level next to Lilly Pulitzer.

Relocating from one property to another, Kate Spade will reopen at Phipps Plaza on the main level. The 2,231 square foot space will also open this spring, and will continue to provide crisp color, graphic prints and playful sophistication to Atlanta shoppers.
