Online real estate brokerage firm Redfin has released its Top Ten Hottest Neighborhoods of 2014 list and the Morningside-Lenox Park neighborhood is number one in the Atlanta market and third nationwide. The Springfield and Dunwoody Club Forest neighborhoods are also in the local Top 5.

Redfin bases its list on homebuyer searches on Redfin.com leading into the new year. Millions of pageviews, “favorited” homes and insights by Redfin agents all play into the selection process.

The Atlanta neighborhoods list also includes median home prices in parenthesis:

1. Morningside-Lenox Park ($540,375)
2. Springfield ($369,000)
3. Inman Park ($434,900)
4. Dunwoody Club Forest ($395,500)
5. Sycamore Ridge ($262,500)

Nationally, Morningside-Lenox Park ranked with up-and-coming neighborhoods in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Las Vegas, Austin, Seattle, Portland, Denver and Chicago.
