Teacher Gift Ideas from TEACHERS

ry400-500x363Many of us are considering purchasing Holiday Gifts for our children’s teachers.    I polled some of my favorite teachers to find out what they liked and disliked so I could share with y’all to help you make good purchases this year!  I made sure to include a male teacher too!

1 (Ideas from a male teacher!)
1. Cash
2. Petsmart gift card
3. Restaurant gift cards (like Wild Wing, Chili’s, etc.)
4. Butterfingers
5. Visa gift cards
6. Bass Pro Shop gift card
7. Best Buy gift card
2 A handmade item from the kid
If the kid took time to do something, I prefer that over a Starbucks card
3 Anything.
Its a gift, and anytime someone wants to take the time to say thank you, its pretty special.
4 Cash
5 Dollar store items.
Not necessarily what I want.  But sometimes, when I have taught kids that couldn’t afford to get four teachers $10 gift cards, I have loved the dollar store items that they have taken the time to pick out themselves for me because they thought that I would like it. Its so sweet to see what a kid’s heart wants to express to you.
6 GIFTCARDS! To ANYWHERE! They are always such a wonderful treat! They make our holiday break so much more enjoyable!
7 I always like gift cards to Target, Starbucks, etc.  Please NO more note pads or candles!  I have a life time supply!
8 I really like gift cards to restaurants or fun places or things that I would not normally do, i.e..  Spa, Nails  etc.
9 I think my favorite gifts have always been gift cards.  Of course I am always appreciative of EVERYTHING or ANYTHING and I love mugs, ornaments, stationary, etc.. I can just never use it all or have room for it.  I know that money is tight for most of us so gift cards are always nice. If you find out what the teacher likes, you could get a gift card for that place.
10 I usually like gift cards and personalized notepads.
11 Monogrammed stuff is always good! One year I received an umbrella with my Monogram and an insulated basket for the beach or ball field. Target gift cards too. Nice notepads are always useful!

Things that aren’t so favorable are boxes of chocolates, candy or cookies.

12 Picture books
Pictures that commemorate the year and its activities with those kids is a pretty special item.
