Thanksgiving – a few things that I am so thankful for today!

be-happy-no-thankful-173059-530-353_largeI’m feeling thankful on this twenty degree morning…thankful in so many ways that I decided I’d write them down.  I’m thankful for so many things but these are the ones that popped into my mind quickly today!  If you are feeling thankful and want to share I’ve left the comments forum open!  Here we go…in somewhat random order.

  1. I’m thankful for my dear friend Leigh Doud.    Because of her I was able to have some free time this week and play a little hooky while she designed all The Aha! Connection emails and responded to all the urgent inquiries and requests.   She is a wonderful, caring, friend and I’m not only thankful to have her as a co-worker but am blessed in so many ways to have her has a friend.
  2. I’m thankful for the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs community, The Aha! Connection Subscribers, and all of our sponsors.  I love keeping people connected, sharing information, helping make our area of an enormous city feel a little bit like a small town.   I’m so thankful that y’all enjoy and read The Aha! Connection…it is such a fun career for me!
  3. I’m thankful for the drug Tamiflu, my friend and Dunwoody resident- Doctor Arnie Mellits, and the Doctors and nurses at Centra Care in Orlando, Florida.   On this same thought I’m thankful that my baby is recovering slowly and surely from Influenza-A—-go get a flu shot.  I’ll never forget to vaccinate my family ever again.
  4. I’m thankful for Walter Elias Disney and one of his most fantastic creations—- Walt Disney World – especially the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Expedition Everest, Monsters Inc, Laugh Floor, Space Mountain, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Soarin’ and all of Epcot World Showcase….oh and Magic Bands with Fast Pass Plus~!
  5. I’m thankful for the Dunwoody Police and fantastic neighbors (especially Ava & Bennett) who watch over my home when I’m away!
  6. I’m thankful for the Community Action Center who helps local families in need.
  7. I’m thankful for college football and the Auburn Tigers!
  8. I’m thankful for my girlfriends who encourage me daily, hang out with me, keep me sane and love me!
  9. I’m thankful for good books…especially ones like The Fault in our Stars…it was so good and really made me thankful too!
  10. I’m thankful for George…my wonderful four legged baby….I haven’t seen him in almost a week and I can’t wait to see him today!   I’m really thankful to my Uncle Chuck and Aunt Tommie who love to steal him when my family travels!
  11. I’m thankful for my family – my wonderful husband and boys, my almost 90 year old grandmother that I’m about to see today, my brother, aunts, uncles…..my parents who prepare the best Thanksgiving feast in America (Mama gets most of the credit but Daddy is the fried Turkey man!)   My wonderful in-laws- who continue to bless me in so many ways….I could go on and on but am just thankful that I get to see most of my family later today!
  12. Last but certainly not least, I’m thankful for Dunwoody Methodist Church, Beth Moore Bible Studies, and a God who loves imperfect me…I’m so thankful for God’s love and the gift of his Son.

  1. Audra, I too, am thankful for so many things in my blessed life but I wanted to thank you for being a great neighbor who started with keeping our neighborhood connected and now keeps all of us on AHA in touch. You are the best!
