Winter season sign up for Peachtree Booster Club Roller Hockey is now Open. The covered rink is at Pinckneyville Park behind the baseball fields.
Teams are co-ed. Street Cats (ages 3-6) are not on skates but will move to learning to skate as part of the program. Street Cats will have equipment furnished which will be returned at end of season.
Great fun and super fast paced sport for those kids with an abundance of energy.
There is no checking or rough play like in ice hockey. Instead, success in roller hockey depends on skill, coordination, teamwork and skating ability (which will improve dramatically through the season so don’t worry about being a beginner).
There is usually an hour long practice during the week and one game per weekend.
