“Miss Debbie” joins the staff of the Nature Center

dnc logoDunwoody, GA – The Dunwoody Nature Center is pleased to announce the addition of Debbie Lowrey to its full-time staff. Mrs. Lowrey will act as the center’s Program Manager and will oversee programming related to camps, scouts, school field trips and classes focused on Pre-K and after school programs among others. Said the Nature Center’s Director of Education, David Boyd “We are thrilled to have Debbie on board to help us continue to expand our programming for our current members and other participants.  We look forward to Debbie helping us continue to develop new and innovative programming for the community.”

 debbieA long-time educator at the Nature Center since 2006, Mrs. Lowrey brings with her not only a reputation of outstanding teaching, but also a history of the programs and mission of the Nature Center. Prior to joining the staff of the Nature Center, Mrs. Lowrey was the Kyndergym lead teacher at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. In her 10 years in this role, “Miss Debbie” as she is affectionately known by her students, developed an innovative curriculum that engaged children in both physical and dramatic play programs while emphasizing fun, self-confidence, and creativity. Earlier in her career, Mrs. Lowrey served in various marketing positions at both Northlake and Lenox Malls.
