CAC is in urgent need of large back packs and school supplies and food for the pantry. The CAC Food Pantry is once again suffering from a shortage of summer donations. Needed foods: Soup, Canned Pasta Meals, Tuna (canned), Canned Meats, Chili, Corn, Peas, Tomato Sauce, Rice, Cereal. We are also in need of large back packs and school supplies for high school students by next Wed. July 24. Needed School Supplies: 150 Large Backpacks, 150 packages of blue or black ink pens, 300 pink erasers, 500 folders with prongs and pockets in assorted colors. The Community Assistance Center (CAC) brings together the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities to provide compassionate assistance to neighbors in need by providing financial support, helping to meet basic needs and promoting self-reliance. CAC is supported by 30 religious congregations, public and private grants, civic organizations, schools, businesses and individuals. Donors provide financial resources, volunteer manpower and in-kind donations.
