Dear Parents/Guardians of rising 6th grade students:
On Thursday, August 1st, and Friday, August 2nd, Peachtree Charter Middle School is hosting a special event for our rising 6th graders. We would like to invite all students who will be 6th graders in the 2013-2014 school year to participate in our Summer Bridge program. The Summer Bridge is designed to ease the transition between elementary and middle school as well as prepare students entering Peachtree to have a wonderful and productive 6th grade year!
1)Thursday, August 1, 2013, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, is reserved exclusively for 6th grade parents to register their children.
2) Friday, August 2, 2013, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the students will attend an orientation program consisting of several sessions such as: appropriate use of the locker and agenda planner, extracurricular activities available, and a scavenger hunt throughout the building. Participation in the PCMS Summer Bridge program is optional, but highly recommended. There is no cost for the program; however, you must pre-register your student in order for them to attend the Friday sessions. To register, please fill out the attached form, detach and return to the main office of your child’s elementary school by Friday, May 10th.
