When you hear the number of children in foster care, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and feel that you can’t make a difference. But behind the statistics is an individual child who’s longing for the safety and security of a loving family.
You can make a positive difference in the lives of children by getting involved in foster care ministry. Even if you’re not able to be a foster parent, there are other ways for you to get involved – like volunteering to assist with clothing and material goods, transportation and more.
Those who are interested in learning about becoming a foster parent, a respite parent, a support team volunteer (meals, baby-sitting, transportation, prayer support, welcome bags, emergency placement supplies, tutoring) or simply want to know more about our new foster care ministry at Dunwoody Baptist Church, are invited to join us for lunch and an information session.
