Amy Terrell is an Atlanta, Georgia-based entrepreneur (she grew up in Dunwoody!) who combines her love of design, travel and organization to develop premium products to solve everyday problems with an innovative twist. Amy’s newest product, SHOEPAX, is a premium travel shoe bag which launched in February 2013.
Amy is an experienced world-wide traveler and saw a need for a high-performance travel shoe bag that can be used for long trips or the daily commute. While plenty of other shoe bags already existed, Amy’s goal was to reinvent the traditional design adding in key details in order to make ShoePax the best product on the market.
“When I was living in New York, I had a lot of beautiful shoes but I was afraid to wear them out on the streets. The answer, of course, was to wear a pair of comfortable shoes out, and carry my precious cargo with me. I wanted to protect my shoes without taking up tons of room in my suitcase or handbag and the best way to do that was to create a new type of bag with separate compartments. Since spatial reasoning has always been a big part of my organizational skill set, it made perfect sense to me to design my ideal shoe bag so that the shoes interlocked… the way they do in a shoebox. To streamline the design even more, I chose to use a high performance stretch fabric so that the bag would take on the shape of the shoes instead of having the bulk of lots of loose fabric.” Add on zipper closures that form a snug seal coupled with a sleek, sophisticated, yet super simple design and the result is SHOEPAX, a premium travel shoe bag designed to meet the needs of the serious shoe lover.
