DeKalb District Attorney Robert James said Tuesday that a grand jury has returned a two-count indictment against Hemy Neuman, who’s been charged in the November slaying of Rusty Sneiderman in front of a Dunwoody preschool.

Dunwoody Police Department Hemy Zvi Neuman, 48, of Buckhead, has been charged with the murder of Russell Sneiderman on Nov. 18 in Dunwoody.

The grand jury, which met Tuesday morning, charged Neuman with malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

James deflected reporters’ questions, saying he “would not try the case in the media.” He would neither confirm nor deny that any more arrests were forthcoming or whether the investigation was closed.

Arraignment is expected within the next month or two, James said. Neuman’s attorneys are holding a press conference at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Neuman is represented by Doug Peters and Robert Rubin.

James would not say what investigators believe the motive in the case is.

Sneiderman was gunned down after he dropped off his 2-year-old son at a day-care facility in November.

Neuman, a father of three with no prior criminal record, supervised Sneiderman’s wife at GE Energy. The extent of the Georgia Tech graduate’s relationship with Andrea Sneiderman, an engineering manager, has not been disclosed, though a company spokesman said they worked together often.

According to Dunwoody police, Rusty Sneiderman also knew his alleged killer.
