PlanIt Travel Designs has grown into a team of travel lovers and planners! Here are some of our team’s favorite things.
My personal favorite travel gear company for luggage and bags is BEIS. Below are my favorites (they offer 15% off for first time buyers).
- The Carry-On Roller (comes in multiple colors). You can fit much more in a hard case!!
- The Weekender Bag and the Mini-Weekender Bag. This is a great bag to pair with your carry-on roller, it slides on top of the handle making it easy to maneuver. I just used my brand new mini-weekender bag this week and it fits perfectly underneath the seat in front of you (turned on its side).
- The Passport and Luggage Tag set. Friends of mine gave this to me last year for my birthday. I especially love the clear bag and passport cover!
- The North to South Tote travel bag. Everyone needs a travel bag to carry on as your big purse (put your small cross body purse inside here when traveling).
- Packing cubes are always a great gift idea!
Another important travel item is a portable charger. Click HERE for 2024’s top rated portable chargers. I have the Vrurc portable charger (with plug in capability). Not only is it great for travel, it comes in handy at home when my charger always seems to go missing!
Traci loves her trtl Travel Pillow (it’s rated the #1 best travel pillow). Another pillow that gives great neck support (which is key on a long haul flight) is the Wander Plus Travel Pillow. Also, at the top of Traci’s travel gift recommendations is a Euro travel adapter (not to be mistaken for a voltage converter!!).
Susan highly recommends this hanging toiletry bag by Bagsmart. The hanging option is really nice, especially if you have limited shelf space (plus it’s a great price)!
Fara is the most recent addition to our team. She joined us this past summer and has hit the ground running! Fara brings tremendous knowledge in the outdoor travel space, as she has visited most of the National Parks in the US. She is also an avid hiker and knows all the best hikes for any level. If your family is planning to visit one of our country’s beautiful National Parks in 2025, Fara recommends the following…
- A hydration pack is Fara’s #1 recommended item for anyone that is focused on hiking while on vacation. This pack also has space for your snacks, SPF, layers, etc.
- Buffs aren’t only for cold weather. If it’s really sunny or dry/dusty, they come in handy to protect your neck from the sun or cover your mouth from the dust!
- Fara’s favorite hiking socks
And last but not least, Delta offers a gift card promotion (spend $300 and receive a $20 Starbucks gift card). This is a great gift for the travel lover in your family! And I love that you can personalize the gift card (you can upload your own photo, such a CUTE idea).
