Dunwoody is gearing up to celebrate the 2nd annual Diwali in Dunwoody Celebration, a three-day event that showcases the Festival of Lights, one of the most significant cultural events for the South Asian community.
The events will be held in the city from October 17 – 19, 2024. Led by Create Dunwoody, this is the second year of the celebration in partnership with Dunwoody Nature Center, Spruill Center for the Arts, Stage Door Theatre, and East by Southeast.
Thursday, October 17 & Friday, October 18, 2024 – The Story of Diwali: A Vibrant Reenactment I Two shows, each night: 6 pm- 7:45 PM, The Dunwoody Nature Center

Saturday, October 19, 2024 – Rangoli and Diya Workshop| Two workshops, 3 PM & 4:30 PM I Spruill Center for the Arts Education Center
In partnership with the Spruill Center for the Arts, the Rangoli and Diya workshop will provide an interactive experience for families and kids of all ages. Participants will learn how to make rangoli, an art form that is used to welcome prosperity and happiness during the Diwali season. Diwali in Dunwoody is a collaborative effort led by Create Dunwoody involving community organizations, local businesses, and dedicated volunteers who are passionate about promoting cultural diversity and fostering a sense of unity within the City.
