The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has named Dunwoody Fencing Club an NYSS Champion for our work supporting youth sports and the National Youth Sports Strategy! The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) developed the National Youth Sports Strategy (NYSS) to unite our country’s youth sports culture around a shared vision: that one day, all youth will have the opportunity, motivation, and access to play sports — regardless of their race, ethnicity, sex, ability, or ZIP code.
“I am so proud of our fencers and our Dunwoody Fencing Club coaching staff. This recognition truly belongs to them. I’m grateful for the opportunity to partner with HHS and the ODPHP to promote a lifelong love of fencing,” said head coach Kathy Vail. “Working together, we can achieve our goals to improve health and fitness in our own backyard and throughout the nation”
