State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge has named the 2011 Georgia schools of Excellence in Student Achievement, honoring 13 schools that have shown the highest academic achievement across the state. Vanderlyn was named for its top 10% ranking in reading and mathematics achievement in the state of Georgia. Congratulations go to Mr. Maloof, Ms. Crenshaw and Ms. Bowden for their instructional leadership and to Vanderlyn’s instructional staff for their unfailing dedication to teaching excellence.
