Sarah Donuts
I LOVE a good donut and Sarah Donuts is at the top of my list. It’s about a 15 minute drive to Norcross on Jimmy Carter. They don’t do a bunch of crazy flavors, just really good classic donuts. And grab a sausage roll!
P.F.Changs Mongolian beef
P.F.Changs Mongolian beef is one of my comfort foods. I found a recipe online to try and hack it. Take 1/2 c soy sauce, 1/4 c water, 1/3 c brown sugar, 1 tbl minced ginger and 3 chopped garlic cloves. Simmer on medium low until reduced by half. You don’t want to burn.
Now, the original recipe suggests skirt steak, but I used a thin ribeye. The key is to slice and toss in cornstarch. Once coated, let sit for about ten minutes and then saute on high heat. Then coat with sauce and serve with green onions.
dalgona coffee
We made dalgona coffee today and now I’m obsessed. This Korean whipped coffee is super easy and pure heaven, not to mention low fat and relatively low in sugar.
2 tbl instant coffee
2 tbl water
2 tbl sugar
Whip with mixer until soft peaks hold. Add to milk and gently stir. SO delicious.

beignets
Woke up this morning to kids (and Lynn) making beignets. Now we get to sit on the porch, enjoy this perfect weather and stream online Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church.
Production notes: Taste is great on these, but were a little less puffy than the original. The main reason is frying then in a shallow pot with less oil. So, if you want the big puffy beignet pillows, prepare a big pot with plenty of oil or deep fryer.
