Attention Dunwoody Restaurant and Bar Owners/Workers

Dunwoody restaurant and bar owners and workers, I hope that you know about the Giving Kitchen. Giving Kitchen provides stability for some of the most hard-working and vulnerable members of our community: food service workers. They offer a variety of resources including different types of financial assistance, a stability network of social services and help with mental health.

Recently, in addition to their corporate sponsors, Braves first baseman, Freddie Freeman donated $50,000 and Falcons quarterback, Matt Ryan donated $100,000 to the Giving Kitchen (among other charities) to help keep our restaurant staff afloat.

Please visit the Giving Kitchen website to start the process for assistance. If you are able to give, click HERE.

Bartenders have an additional resource in the US Bartender’s Guild. You do not have to be a member to apply for assistance. Companies like Jameson Whiskey, Skrewball Whiskey and Singani 63 have donated money to support bartenders specifically. Click HERE for more information.

If you own a small business (not just a restaurant or bar), you are eligible to apply for a small business disaster relief loan. As you can imagine, the website is busy, so you may hit some glitches. HERE is an abridged explanation of what you will need to start the process. Once you are ready, bring your patience and go to https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/Account/Login to start.

Finally, the AHA Connection is always committed to Dunwoody and surrounding areas. Please email audra@theahaconnection.com to be added to our free “food to go” restaurant directory listing and let us know what your hours are. If we can help in any other way, please ask and we will certainly do our best.
