COVID-19 Update from Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch

“I want to assure Dunwoody residents that your City Council and City staff are dealing with the challenges presented by COVID-19. Public safety remains our number one priority. Dunwoody’s police chief and city manager are in constant communication with county and state health officials and emergency managers. City operations continue. Based on the Governor’s recommendations and the latest information about COVID-19, the City of Dunwoody is taking the following precautionary steps to reduce any risks to the public and city employees:

  1. Dunwoody Municipal Court operations are on hold for the next two weeks. If you have a hearing scheduled for the week of March 16 or the week of March 23, you may pay your citation online (link: https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/dunwoodyga), or you can call the court clerks’ office to reschedule. The number is 678-382-6973. Court clerks are available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  2. Upcoming planning, zoning and variance cases have been deferred until May.  This applies to cases before the City Council, Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals. All public hearings will be re-advertised. We will also include notices on dunwoodyga.gov.
  3. Meetings and programs at the N. Shallowford Annex are suspended until further notice since this building serves as the city’s backup operational facility.

We will let you know of any additional changes as we stay in communication with our public health partners. We will also keep this special website updated: https://dunwoodyga.gov/index.php?section=COVID%2019%20Update
