Endeavor Montessori in Dunwoody Celebrates Grand Opening on Nov. 18
Endeavor Montessori, Dunwoody’s newest school, will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, Nov. 18 between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm.
Dunwoody Mayor-elect Lynn Deutsch and members of the city council are scheduled to attend the event, which will take place on the school’s new campus at 48 Perimeter Center East. The event is open to the general public and an ice cream truck will be on site to deliver free deserts for all of those in attendance.
Endeavor Montessori is a private school offering a diverse educational program rooted in Montessori principles that will serve infants through 6th grade. The school is currently enrolling children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years.
“By integrating Montessori principles, a mindfulness curriculum and a rigorous academic program taught by expertly-trained teachers, we’re taking education to the next level,” said School Leader Sue Hansen. “We’re really looking forward to providing children in the Dunwoody community with this unique and effective learning experience.”
Students will begin and end each day with yoga and be taught by positive discipline trained teachers and administrators, while taking classes based on a STEAM curriculum that incorporates math and sciences with music and art, and a Global Languages program, which includes mandatory Spanish and students’ classroom languages which are currently of French, Hindi, Mandarin or Portuguese, with more to be added as the school grows.
Endeavor Montessori School will be located as a newly constructed building with 11 classrooms, a Makerspace where students can collaborate on STEAM projects, and beautiful outdoor learning spaces.
Endeavor Montessori School at Dunwoody is owned by Endeavor Schools, a Miami-based education management company with operational headquarters in Atlanta. Endeavor has a growing presence in the Atlanta region with six schools in the area.
