Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcats Advance past Sectionals onto Georgia High School Association 6A State Track and Field Championships

Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcats are going to GEORGIA STATE COMPEITION!!
During the 2019 Georgia High School Association 6AAAAAA Sectional Track and Field Championships at Grovetown High School on May 4th.

Grovetown, GA May 4th – Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcats Track and field pushed through a road trip, the elements and an intense schedule to qualify for the GHSA 6A State Championships.

The Lady Wildcats jumped their way into lead positions with Ariel Lawrence jumping almost 19 feet in the Long Jump and over 38 feet in the Triple Jump.
In the High Jump Jahvene Walder soared 5 feet to coast into State qualifying position. Andrea Penzien also competed in the high jump and miss the qualifying height by inches.

The Lady Wildcats wouldn’t be denied more qualifying State spots as Janae Profit threw into top seeded spots in both the Discus and the Shot Put. Zaria Woodyard would also throw over 33 feet in shot put at this meet.

Combining running and jumping with ease Jahvene Walder would clear both the 100 and 300 M Hurdles into State position. Kameren Haliday would also fight for a spot in the 100 hurdles.

The Lady Wildcat 4X100 team consisting of Jahvene Walder, Jaden Alexis, Kameren Haliday, and Ariel Lawrence continues their streak of bringing the heat. They made their way to top qualifying positions to earn State entrance.

The Lady Wildcats Track Team are eagerly awaiting their chance to take GHSA 6A State Championships by storm on May 9-11th at Carrolton High School.
