Friday I watched the trailer for this week’s movie giveaway and thought to myself: “I bet this book was good!” On Saturday, I found myself meandering through Barnes and Noble and ran across the book. I bought it, went home, sat in the gorgeous Saturday warm sunshine, and commenced reading. My husband MADE me put it down to leave for the Dunwoody Varsity baseball game. Watching my sons play baseball and reading are two of my favorite things to do in the world…topped only by sitting on the beach while reading and watching them play wiffle ball…but I digress.
Reading this book almost won out over baseball but I put it down until after church on Sunday then finished. It wasn’t long but it was so good. Admittedly, I am a sucker for a good teen romance. We have a close family friend with Cystic Fibrosis so reading about two teenagers fighting this disease was particularly interesting to me. I was worried that I’d be depressed for days like after reading The Fault in our Stars. There are definitely some sad twists and I had to wipe tears off my reading glasses more than once. However, it isn’t altogether tragic and I thought the ending was perfection.
Congrats to Sue Hall for winning my gently read copy!
Would love to read this book!
