The citizens of Sandy Springs gained a state-of-the-art urology clinic and surgical center this week at 1450 South Johnson Ferry Road. This is Advanced Urology’s fifth location so far and is being led by the highly trained and talented Dr. Marc Greenstein and Dr. Neal Patel.
The first floor of the new location is composed of a 6,718-square foot surgical center with four pre-op bays, four PACU bays and two ORs. This progressive surgical center will provide patients with top-notch operations such as sacral nerve stimulation and Urolift procedures. The 6,685-square foot second floor is the urology clinic containing nine exam rooms, two ultrasound rooms and two procedure rooms. The innovative, tech-savvy building is approximately 15,000 square feet including the common areas. The interior and exterior design is centered around patient-care and was constructed to decentralize the negative feelings typically associated with a clinic or hospital. For example, large windows were placed all around the facility to emphasize an open, relaxed ambiance.
Prestigious urologic surgeons Dr. Greenstein and Dr. Neal Patel are being accompanied by nurse practitioner Dhruti Patel and staff at the new facility. Dr. Greenstein received the Vitals 2018 Patient’s Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Award, and he specializes in treating urologic conditions with a holistic and integrative approach. The founder of two medical device companies and author of numerous publications, Dr. Patel is a well-known expert in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He also serves as Advanced Urology’s chief technology officer, enabling the company to use millions of data points to improve patient outcomes.
“I am very excited to bring my 15 years of clinical experience to Sandy Springs. I have learned that a good bed-side manner, availability and a little laughter combined with humility can help make a lasting impression with a patient and his or her family. Our Advanced Urology team will be providing cutting-edge technology to manage kidney stones, prostate disease, urinary issues, and urologic cancers,” said Dr. Greenstein.
