Sen. Fran Millar to Hold Second Meeting of the Senate Study Committee on Dyslexia
ATLANTA (September 6, 2018) |Sen. Fran Millar (R – Dunwoody) and members of the Senate Study Committee on Dyslexia will hold their second meeting on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. in room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building.
During the meeting there will be time devoted to public comment, presentations on Dyslexia identification and services in Georgia, teacher training and preparation and what other states are doing.

SR 761 Resolution Dyslexia Study Committee
The Dyslexia Study Committee meeting will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:00am in 307 CLOB.
Per the resolution, SR 761, the purpose of the Dyslexia Study Committee is to explore and draw attention to the profound educational impact of dyslexia on the education and lives of countless children, adults, and students in the State of Georgia. Early diagnosis is critical to early remediation with evidence based intervention. Dyslexia is the most common learning disability, affecting approximately one in five individuals and approximately 80 percent of all individuals with a learning disability.
