All proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Liver Disease Program and the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Liver Center for the advancement of biliary atresia (BA) research. Our three-year-old daughter, Sydney, has BA, a rare and serious liver disease that affects newborns. Its cause is unknown and the only “cure” is a liver transplant.
We organized the race for two years in Alexandria, Va., and have donated over $60,000 to the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Liver Center. Since moving back to Atlanta, we are excited to add CHOA Liver Disease Program as a beneficiary. Our goal is to raise $30,000, which is why I hope you will help me spread the word! With that said, here are the details:
