Next Tuesday August 7 from 6:30-8 pm, we are hosting a “Welcome Home and Show n Tell Pizza Party” at Dunwoody Mellow Mushroom. The six youth who participated this summer have just returned from their fabulous International Camps and they will share their experiences visiting France, Norway, Australia, Denmark, Estonia, and The Netherlands. Lions Club International hosts over 90 camps worldwide – most camps for youth ages 16-21 (and a few even for 14-16).
The Atlanta Lions Club wants to get MORE youth involved next year – to travel abroad and to host international youth from other countries. We also need help planning as we’d like to host an Atlanta-based Youth Exchange Camp as well. I’d like adult planners AND youth planners! We’re going to hold an awesome Atlanta camp!

(Did I mention that the hosting countries provide all the lodging, meals, and activities for 2-4 weeks!?!! Seriously. You pay your airfare and some camps have a small fee – 100-150 Euros. Most camps include a 1-2 week host family stay plus a 1-2 week camp with youth from all over the world.)
