Thursday, July 26, 2018 and Friday, July 27, 2018, Peachtree Charter Middle School is hosting a special event for our rising 6th graders. We would like to invite all students who will be 6th graders in the 2018-2019 school year to participate in our Summer Bridge program. The Summer Bridge is designed to ease the transition between elementary and middle school as well as prepare students entering Peachtree to have a wonderful and productive 6th grade year!
Thursday, July 26th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, is reserved exclusively for 6th grade parents to register their children. Registration will take place in the gym (signs will be posted to help direct you to the correct location). Your registration will not last the entire morning, but please arrive early enough to allow approximately one hour for completing the process. Proof of immunization is not required for sixth grade registration. Please bring the following documents to ensure a smooth registration:
- One type of proof of residency (current mortgage deed or lease, June or July gas, electric, or water bill, NO phone or cable bills). Please bring one photocopy of each document that will be kept by the school.
- Bring photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, etc.
- A parent’s name or a guardian’s name must be on the bill, lease, or mortgage.
PCMS spirit wear will be available for purchase. After registering and purchasing items, students will receive their class schedule for the first semester. During physical education classes, coaches will provide information to students about the required purchases of PE uniforms.
Friday, July 27th, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the students will attend an orientation program consisting of several sessions such as: extracurricular activities available, and a scavenger hunt throughout the building. Upon arrival, students will proceed to the cafeteria. Parents, please drop off students no later than 8:00 AM. Friday’s session is intended for students only. All students need to bring a pencil and his or her class schedule. Parent, please meet with the principal in the cafeteria at 11:30 AM for a brief meeting, prior to picking up your child at 12:00 PM.

Participation in the PCMS Summer Bridge program is optional, but highly recommended. There is no cost for the program; however, you must pre-register your student in order for them to attend the Friday sessions. To register, click here.
