Congratulations parents of small kiddos, you’re almost halfway through summer! Now that swim team is over, what are you supposed to do with them in the morning? Here’s a short list of things to do around Atlanta with younger kids.
The Amazing Castle @ The Atlanta Children’s Museum: The Amazing Castle is the newest interactive exhibit at the Children’s Museum. It is a great exhibit that has building, tactical play, dress-up, reading and story time and puppets. Children can pretend to harvest vegetables and take them to the kitchen and make a meal or put on a puppet show for the King and Queen. It is for ages 2 – 8 and will stay until September 9. On July 7, ACM will partner with Nakato Japanese Restaurant to bring to life the Japanese Star Festival, Tanabata. Participate in a lantern parade, origami class and Japanese stories.
Click, Clack, Moo @ the Center for Puppetry Arts: Based on the children’s book by Doreen Cronin, young children will enjoy this puppet adaptation and the cow puppet workshop after. You’ll be close to the Varsity for lunch, which is always a hit. http://www.puppet.org/buy-tickets/2018-19/click-clack-moo-cows-that-type/

Dinosaurs @ Stone Mountain Park: Stone Mountain park has over 20 life size dinosaurs that move and roar. You are also able to meet and pet baby dinosaurs as well as experience a dinosaur training session with adolescent dinosaurs. Friday June 29 marks the last bogo offer for the park but beginning July 1, Stone Mountain will host a high flying dog show and have fireworks through July 7.
