What started as an idea by two childhood friends is now Square Care Ministries, a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization in Dunwoody.
We saw a need. Through faithfulness and prayer, we found a way. Square Care Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 2012 to fill a gap in products not readily available to impoverished and low income families through food banks and government aid programs. Detergent, feminine products, deodorant, shampoo, shaving kits, soap, a brush. Basic necessities most of us take for granted. Offering these everyday items in low-cost and donated kits to men, women and families, Square Care continues to grow. Our signature brown boxes are distributed through partner food banks and ministries, churches, shelters or anywhere they are needed. And when it comes to what’s inside, we’re open to that too. If there’s a shortage of certain goods, we’ll find a way to box them.
“Square Care is more efficiently filling the need for non-food household necessities that are in short supply to front-line agencies serving people in need,” said Rob Johnson of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
