I ran into this mess coming back from a ballgame in Marietta late Friday night. I chose an alternate route to come home from Marietta for Saturday’s game because traffic was horrendous on 285 nearing Dunwoody. The three right lanes of East bound I-285 will be closed from Ashford Dunwoody Road to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard until Monday morning at 5 a.m. according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.
GDOT has plans to mill and inlay 6.43 miles of 285 from Ashford Dunwoody Road to Chamblee Tucker Road. The total cost of the project is $10.9 million.
Keep this in mind if you plan to get on 285 from now through Monday!
